The Brauner Valvet X is a hand-built single-diaphragm cardioid Class A valve microphone from Germany.

The cardioid pattern allows the Valvet X to impart a warmth and enhanced proximity feel, especially when recording singers close-up.

Class A circuits are used in the amp stage of the Valvet for increased linearity and the microphone sound is full and detailed, with good frequency response over its entire range.
