The HEDD Audio Type 07 A-CORE is a compact nearfield studio monitor designed for precision monitoring in small to medium spaces, featuring a 7-inch custom honeycomb woofer and HEDD’s signature Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter for extended high-frequency response and natural low-end performance.
The Type 07 A-CORE operates with a fully analogue signal path that eliminates the need for A/D or D/A converters, resulting in near-zero latency and zero dependency on software. This design suits recording engineers and professionals requiring real-time accuracy and system reliability.
Its 7-inch woofer uses a honeycomb structure, custom-built to deliver tight, deep bass with minimal distortion. The high-definition Air Motion Transformer, handcrafted in Berlin, provides a wide dynamic range and ultra-fast transient response, ensuring clarity and openness in upper mids and high frequencies.
Engineers can fine-tune the frequency response with continuously adjustable high and low shelving EQs, each offering ±6 dB of control. This tuning flexibility allows adaptation to different acoustic environments or sonic preferences without compromising signal integrity.
The monitor includes balanced XLR and TRS inputs as well as unbalanced RCA, accommodating a range of studio setups. A physical front-panel standby switch allows easy power management, and the unit is Atmos-ready with mounting points for immersive audio configurations.
Each speaker is hand-assembled in Berlin using high-end components to ensure consistent performance and durability. The system undergoes individual testing prior to shipment, and a five-year warranty is available upon registration.
