Northern Light Modular HFD

The Northern Light Modular Fingerdrums – Model hFD is a four-voice drum machine module inspired by the iconic Boss DR55 drum synthesizer and adapted for the Buchla format.

The Northern Light Modular Fingerdrums – Model hFD includes four voices with dedicated trigger inputs and individual outputs. Each voice includes dedicated controls to shape its sound. 

• Kick Drum: Includes pitch and decay control which can be made to self-oscillate beyond a certain threshold.
• Snare Drum: includes dedicated pitch and decay control and can also be made to self-oscillate.
• Hi-hat: includes two filter switches to change its tone.
• Rim Shot: includes pitch and decay controls. They can be made to self-oscillate too.

Each voice also includes individual trigger buttons. Trimmers are also provided to set the noise-to-clarity ratio and a noise gate for the rimshot.The master and rim outputs stage includes an optical clipping stage.

The h-Series is half the height of a 1U 200 Series module and requires an h bracket to be mounted in a 1U space. Two h modules can be mounted in a 1U space.
