Adapted for mastering applications the EQM-1A features Progressive-taper Elma switch controls with a 0.5dB of boost and cut for precise settings and easy recall. As a result, the gain has been reduced to 10dB boost\/cut instead of the original values.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePultec EQs are truly unique in their design. They boast two bands with separate boost and cut controls that can be combined to create a resonant shelf curve. These resonant shelves are the key to the Pultec sound as it lets you boost an area without adding unwanted frequency build-up. The result is a very tight and extremely musical sound. In mastering application, these curves will allow you to add weight to a song without boxiness and add presence or air without harshness. In addition, Pultec EQs are completely passive which ensures that no distortion is generated by the equalisation.
