The Antelope Audio Edge Solo is a single-capsule, fixed cardioid large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed to be combined with Antelope’s Microphone modelling plug-ins.
The Antelope Audio Edge Solo features a 6-micron edge-terminated gold-sputtered membrane, housed in a low-resonance body and low-reflection head basket to ensure a truly open sound and accurate sonic capture. This is further augmented by custom electronics designed in house by Antelope Audio's award-winning engineers that provide incredible dynamic range and ideal frequency response.
Combined with Antelope's Mic modelling technology, the Edge Solo goes even further, offering stunningly accurate emulations of classic vintage microphones. Right out of the box, the Edge Solo offers a choice of 18 of the most iconic microphones.
The Edge Solo has been specifically designed to work with Antelope's preamps and conversion technology to offer the most accurate emulations which can be used with Antelope's built-in FGPA processing capabilities for real-time vintage ic emulation.
However, its XLR connector allows you to connect with any audio interface and use Antelope's native mic emulation plug-ins in your favourite DAW (Pro Tools, Cubase, Presonus, Logic, etc.) with minimal latency. It comes as VST, AU and AAX for maximum compatibility and works on both MacOS and Windows.
