100% analogue step sequencer inspired by the classic ARP Sequencer and Little Brother and updated as the perfect complement to the Antonus 2600.
100% analogue step sequencer inspired by the classic ARP Sequencer and Little Brother and updated as the perfect complement to the Antonus 2600.
100% analogue step sequencer inspired by the classic ARP Sequencer and Little Brother and updated as the perfect complement to the Antonus 2600.
The Antonus Step Brother REV3 Orange and Black is a 100% analogue step sequencer inspired by the classic ARP Sequencer and Little Brother and updated as the perfect complement to the Classic Antonus 2600 REV 3.
The Antonus Step Brother uses the classic CMOS technology to respect the essence and behaviour of the instrument's origins while also removing issues associated with computer processing such as connection limits, aliasing or hangs.
Other sections of the Step Brother include an ADSR, Oscillator, VCA are all analogue in keeping with the spirit of the original Little Brother.
The only digital element in the unit comes from the MIDI signal converter microcontroller.
The Step Brother includes additional appointments such as a Clock Divider (Frequency Divider) and a full analogue ADSR Envelope with time factor multiplier. The VCO can be used either as an LFO or in the audio range. In the latter mode, it tracks following the standard Volt/octave standard found in Eurorack, Moog Synthesizers and many more.
The idea behind merging the features of the original Little Brother and Step Sequencer is to combine their features to create a powerful instrument that is more than the sum of its parts. By combining the features of both, the possibilities of logic exploration are exponentially increased, with LFO capable of controlling the clock diver or even using the sequencer as a graphic oscillator.
The Step Brother's design and style are a perfect match to the Antonus 2600, with a Tolex cabinet and metal hardware. The size is following the dimensions of the '2600' to reinforce the link between the two and the system they create as a whole.
The Step Brother is MIDI compatible with MIDI in/Thru ports over 5-pin DIN as well as CV clock and fate outputs enabling the Step Brother to function as a MIDI to CV clock converter.
The Step Brother Rev 3 has the same black and orange colour scheme as the Antonus 2600 Rev 3 itself based on classic ARP colour schemes.
