The Arturia MicroBrute UFO is a compact, fully analogue synthesiser equipped with a Steiner-Parker multimode filter, continuous waveform blending, Brute Factor drive, and a patchable Mod Matrix, designed to deliver aggressive bass, searing leads, and complex modulation without software or menu navigation.
MicroBrute UFO produces aggressive, raw tones ideal for basslines, leads, and experimental textures. Its analogue oscillator blends sawtooth, pulse, and triangle waveforms, with unique modifiers including Ultra Saw for wide, detuned sound, Metalizer for added harmonic complexity, and a sub-oscillator that generates powerful low-end reinforcement.
The MicroBrute UFO operates entirely within the analogue domain, generating sound through voltage-controlled circuits for authentic, warm, and uncompromising sonic character. The inclusion of the Steiner-Parker multimode filter provides low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass options with resonant self-oscillation, allowing users to sculpt sound from subtle to extreme tonal shifts.
The modular-inspired Mod Matrix enables flexible routing of modulation sources to multiple destinations. It also integrates seamlessly with external analogue equipment, making it suitable for both standalone setups and complex Eurorack environments.
MicroBrute UFO focuses on direct, immediate control, featuring a tactile interface that encourages live tweaking and rapid sound exploration. The step sequencer offers eight patterns, each with up to sixty-four steps, alongside rate adjustment and multiple triggering modes for evolving, rhythmic sequences.
Users can sync the unit via MIDI, USB, or CV/Gate for tight integration with DAWs and hardware systems. The Audio In lets users process external signals through the Brute Factor drive and Steiner-Parker filter, while USB provides bi-directional MIDI communication, turning MicroBrute UFO into both a sound source and controller within modern hybrid studios.
Brute Factor introduces harmonic distortion ranging from subtle warmth to chaotic intermodulation, further shaping the synth’s aggressive tonal character. A syncable LFO with saw, square, and triangle waveforms offers modulation at both musical and audio rates, unlocking vibrato, tremolo, or frequency modulation for rich, evolving sound design.
