The Avantone BV-1 mkII is an update of Avanton'es highly-regarded tube large-diaphragm condenser microphone featuring a CK-12 style capsule, Cinemag output transformer and 6072A low-noise tubes.
The Avantone BV-1 mkII is the result of a no-expense-spared approach design, from the handpicked, edge-terminated 34mm CK12-style capsule and 6072A low-noise tube to the choice of custom capacitors by revered boutique companies such as Solen, Wima, Elna, Kyocera and Epcos. The BV-1 mkII microphone also includes a custom Cinemag output transformer specifically designed for this microphone.
The result is a stunning microphone that delivers huge low end and smooth and airy top end, making it ideal for vocal use. The proximity effect adds a beautiful body and intimate presence to any vocals. However, the BV-1 mkII is much more than a vocal microphone and lends itself well to percussion, piano, brass, guitar cabs, and more.
The BV-1 mkII ships in a hardshell briefcase and includes an ultra-high quality 7-pin XLR cable made by Sommer, power supply and shockmount.
