Enhanced Control with Side-chain HPF
The BAE Audio 500C offers multiple compression ratios (41, 81, 121, 201) and the unique “All Buttons In” mode, allowing for flexible sound shaping and dynamic control.
The BAE Audio 500C is a 500 Series FET compressor based on the classic 1176.
The BAE Audio 500C includes the usual four ratios (4:1, 8:1, 12:1 and 20:1) as well as the “All Buttons In”. It includes Input and Output gain controls as well as time constant controls for attack and release. Unlike the original the BAE 500C also has a side-chain HPF which prevents excessive bass from triggering the compressor.
The 500C compressor is assembled in California US to match the exacting quality control associated with BAE.
