The Brauner Phanthera V is a large-diaphragm phantom-powered solid-state condenser microphone with switchable polar patterns, made in Germany.
With three polar patterns available, the Brauner Phantera V is a very versatile choice of microphone, whatever the situation - cardioid, omni-directional and figure 8 can be selected at the flick of a switch. Cardioid will give you a more intimate close-sound especially for vocals, whilst figure 8 is particularly useful when recording sum-and-difference stereo. Overall the Brauner Phantera V delivers a precise sound but with personality and body, with broad on-axis response.
Able to run quieter and cooler than its valve companions in the Brauner range, the solid-state Brauner Phantera V represents great value for money and is a high-performing general purpose microphone.
Since founding his company to develop his first product, the award-winning and highly acclaimed VM1 valve microphone, Dirk Brauner has constantly pushed back the boundaries with his creations - the Brauner Phantera V is the result of all that activity.
