The Bricasti MC1 Digital Audio Converter is a dual-mono master D/A converter designed for mastering and critical audio applications and is the result of years of refinement to deliver life-like audio and transparent while maintaining all the intended character.
The Bricasti MC1 uses two completely isolated channels with dedicated analogue circuitry, D/A Converter, DDS, clocking and linear power supply. This configuration has been carefully designed to remove all possible crosstalk and ensuring that power for each channel is perfectly isolated from the other. Digital processing is also powered separately with a dedicated power supply. Each channel uses a stereo ADI 1955 D/A converter chip used in mono configuration, allowing for the optimisation of the dynamic range on each channel.
This reference-grade digital-to-analogue converter offers PCM and DSD operations with sample rates up to 384kHz and DSD 128FS over Ethernet and USB and 192kHz, DSD 64fs over AES and SPDIF. Jitter is also very low with 6 psec at 96kHz.
