Buchla 207e Mixer and Microphone Preamp Module

The Buchla 207e is a 200e Series Modular Mixer and Microphone Preamp that includes the 6-channel mixer from the 206e paired with a high gain mic preamp section, it’s particularly useful if you want to bring microphone signals into your system.

The front panel of the 207e provides control over 6 channels of audio, with CV control over the panning for channels 1 and 6 and manual control over the pan positions of channels 2 through 5. Each channel has a gain control, which can be manually controlled to create your perfect mix.

207E also includes a dedicated headphone output, should you wish to monitor your mixes in your cans, or cue up a sound before sending to front of house.

As mentioned previously, the 207E also include a high gain microphone preamp with 48v phantom power and a built in envelope follower, which is able to put out a variable voltage that follows the transients of the incoming audio at the microphone input stage.

If you’re into playing live, obscure stereo effects or simply need to sum all of your audio sources into a single module space, the 207E or 206E does the job incredibly well and also supports the 200E series preset storage, so the settings can be recalled on the fly when paired with a appropriate preset manager.
