The Buchla 225e MIDI Decoder and Preset Manager Module converts incoming USB MIDI messages into control voltages and pulses for use within the Buchla 200 series architecture. It also includes a built in preset manager for quickly dialling in presets with supported modules.
Buchlas 225e provides a wealth of connectivity for deep integration with your MIDI controllers, DAW and whatever else you might have with a 5-pin DIN. There’s four note message busses onboard, which provides four channels of pitch, velocity and note on information plus 6 assignable bi-polar controller busses, where you can assign your MIDI CC’s to be converted into voltages.
The 225e also supports an internal BUS connection, where note and pitch information is carried across the power bus and are routed to a 281e, velocities to a 292e, and pitches are directed to up to four 259e or 261e modules. So if you don’t watch patch those in, they’ll get their MIDI information right from the PSU and 225e itself.
The 225E also includes a preset storage manager where you can store and recall the settings of compatible modules with ease. So forming performances and building sounds is made even easier with the ability to store and recall on demand.
225e can also show the firmware of any modules connected to the ecosystem, and it can be used as a firmware update utility, so when new features become available you can simply drop the code into your 225 and onto other modules with ease.
