Buchla 258 Re-Issue Dual Oscillator Model 258

The Buchla 258 Dual Oscillator Classic Reissue is a recreation of the iconic dual oscillator module of the original 200 series.

The Buchla 258 Dual Oscillator delivers the classic Buchla sound. There are two voltage-controlled oscillators with a frequency range of 5Hz to 20kHz. Each of the oscillators includes This oscillator architecture uses a traditional wave shaper architecture; each oscillator starts with a triangle wave that can then be gradually shaped into sawtooth or square wave shapes by increasing the amount of harmonics. While the first oscillator (above) morphs into sawtooth-like waves, the second oscillator (below) morphs into a square.

Waveshape and frequencies both include CV inputs and additional processing inputs provide multiple control of pitch. An audio input is also provided for FM applications.

The Buchla 258 Classic Reissue module can be installed in modern Buchla cases and is compatible with Buchla's 200e lineup, making it the perfect complement to any existing system.
