The Buchla 281 Quad Function Generator Classic Reissue is a recreation of the iconic module of the original 200 series.
The Buchla 281 Quad Function Generator consists of four independent function generators that can be used on their own or linked in pairs. The function generators include a pulse input, pulse outputs that generates pulses at the end of attack or decay, as well as bipolar voltage outputs. Each of the four also includes manual Attack and Decay controls which affect ramping speed.
Moreover, the 281 is equipped with two OR outputs that combine the two-channel groups and then generate a pseudo-ADSR envelope response. In Quadrature mode, the generated functions of the two pairs (A/B or C/D) are shifted by 90 degrees.
The 281 Classic Reissue module can be installed in modern Buchla cases and are compatible with Buchla's 200e lineup, making them the perfect complement to each other.
