Mastering-Grade Audio Quality
The Burl BAD4M AD converter offers unparalleled audio fidelity ideal for mastering, utilizing cutting-edge technology for superior sound performance.
The Burl BAD4M for B16 is a 4-channel AD converter crafted for mastering-grade performance within the B80 and B16 Mothership chassis. It incorporates stepped attenuators and offers the versatility of switchable input transformers.
Designed with mixing and mastering in focus, the BAD4M proudly showcases Burl's cutting-edge NextGen analogue technology, presenting a choice between Burl's BOPA14 Op-Amp or BX1 transformer-coupled signal path. As a result, the BAD4M delivers two distinct sound profiles: the rich, analogue character akin to the BAD8 or the pristine clarity of the new transformerless circuit.
Furthermore, the BAD4M features a switchable ADC filter, enabling users to shift between the classic BURL sound and a more assertive, midrange-enhanced tone. Additionally, the BAD4M is equipped with Avid delay matching, ensuring precise synchronization with the input delay of an Avid I/O, a crucial element when utilizing hardware inserts.
