The Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter CL-2 mic activator provides up to 25dB of ultra-clean and transparent gain per channel, helping your mic preamps perform more efficiently. It is a great solution for common audio problems such as hiss and crackles.
Simply placing the Cloud CL-2 between your dynamic microphones and audio interface or mic preamp will deliver a much cleaner sound. It uses +48V phantom power in your mic pre or audio interface to boost the signal of your dynamic mic.
Thanks to patent-pending technology, the CloudLifter CL-2 features two-stage amplification using direct-coupled Class A discrete JFET circuitry with no transformers, capacitors or resistors in the audio path. This circuit design delivers pristine gain and optimises impedance loading for dynamic and ribbon microphones.
