The Avantone CV12 BLA marks a significant evolution from the original CV12 Tube large condenser microphone, boasting a freshly designed capsule, circuit board, and accessories.

This enhanced version results from a collaborative effort between Avantone and the Mod enthusiasts at Black Lion Audio, who have meticulously identified and implemented various modifications to deliver a cleaner and richer sound.

The first notable change is found in the capsule; the new CV12 BLA replaces the original 32mm K67 with a larger 34mm CK12 style diaphragm. This alteration brings the sound closer to the original AKG C12, resulting in sweeter highs and enhanced lows.

The second major modification involves a comprehensive overhaul of the circuit board. This revamp focuses on taming the high-mid frequencies, leading to a flatter response and a more balanced range.

The CV12 BLA package includes a striking Jetsun shock mount and a stylish faux alligator carry case.
