The Corsynth C108 is a 5U Moog Format Dual VCA Module which offers two independent voltage controlled amplifier circuits, both with linear and exponential response curves.
As the saying goes: "you can never have too many VCA's" and the Corsynth C108 looks to remedy just that. The C 108 provides you with dual response VCAs, which can be used for controlling both audio and CV signals.
Each VCA has a single input and output and a CV input plus, a CV level trimmer for controlling the depth of the CV present at the CV input, so if you're using an envelope to control the VCA, the trimmer dictates how much influence that envelope has over the overall VCA gain.
The VCAs in this module don't only act as attenuators, they can also act as a boost for the incoming signals, they can in fact provide up to 2 x gain, making it a great tool for integrating external sources into the 5U domain or clipping waveforms in interesting ways.
As with the rest of the Corsynth range, this module is built using high quality components throughout, including switchcraft jacks, cosmo knobs and anodized aluminium front panels.
