Rich Polyphonic Textures
The Dreadbox Artemis synthesizer features six analogue voices that enable musicians to generate lush, complex soundscapes, offering a broad spectrum of polyphonic capabilities for creating deep, harmonious textures.
The Dreadbox Artemis is a high-performance, six-voice polyphonic analogue synthesiser that combines a fully analogue signal path with powerful oscillators, versatile modulation options, and a suite of premium stereo effects designed by Sinevibes. These effects aim to deliver rich, evolving tones and an expansive sonic palette for advanced sound design.
With six voices, Artemis allows musicians to create lush, complex polyphonic textures with exceptional depth. Its analogue oscillators, inspired by Dreadbox’s Typhon and Murmux Adept models, offer seamless waveform transitions alongside flexible frequency modulation, glide, and mix settings. This architecture opens up a wide range of sonic possibilities, from harmonious chords to expressive lead lines, each infused with the signature warmth and depth of analogue synthesis.
Artemis’s modulation section is robust and designed to meet the needs of professional sound designers. Two multi-mode low-frequency oscillators (LFOs) power its modulation capabilities, with one featuring a fade-in option for gradual dynamic shifts and the other offering cross-modulation (XMOD) for more complex interactions. These LFOs can modulate key parameters, including pitch, filter cutoff, and oscillator waveform, giving users the tools to craft everything from subtle, moving textures to intense, chaotic soundscapes.
Artemis comes equipped with an advanced suite of stereo effects created by Sinevibes, offering reverb, delay, modulation effects, and master distortion for a professional-grade audio experience. Integrated seamlessly with the synth’s analogue signal path, these effects allow users to elevate each sound, adding dimension and depth for studio-quality production. The stereo outputs also enable voice spreading, enriching the spatial quality of each note.
Artemis incorporates a versatile 12/24dB low-pass filter, a resonant high-pass filter, two ADSR envelopes, and a polyphonic step sequencer, providing extensive control over sound shaping and sequencing. The intuitive user interface streamlines the creative process, enabling professionals to effortlessly craft everything from classic polysynth tones to aggressive, cutting-edge sounds. Designed for both studio and live applications, Artemis is an analogue synthesiser that meets the demands of modern sound design with precision and innovation.
