The Dreadbox Typhon is a wonderful little analogue monosynth developed in conjunction with digital processing gurus Sinevibes; it's a dual VCO mono synth that features Dreadbox's excellent 24dB resonant low pass filter and couples it with advanced modulation, preset storage, DS effects and a sequencer provided by Sinevibes.
Dreadbox are a renowned builder of high quality discreet synthesizers, for the last 8 years they have been building a wonderful array of synthesizers that always give subtle nods to various machines of the past, whilst lashing them in tonnes of their own style, flavour and colour.
The Typhon is a USB BUS powered analogue synth, with a lovely, simple to use UI and a superb array of modulation tools for building complex evolving tones, sound and textures.
The synthesis architecture is based on two wide range analogue oscillators, running into Yiannis excellent 24dB low pass filter which then hits an array of analogue VCA's, this analogue voice structure is then fed into an array of DSP effects, created by Sinevibes, including Distortion, Bit crusher, Chorus, Ensemble,Flanger, Delay and Reverb.
With 256 user preset storage locations, 32 step sequencer and a wealth of hands on control, this small synth sounds anything but small and packs in a tonne of features.
