The Erica Synths Acidbox III is a desktop adaptation of the infamous Polivoks VCF, an aggressive filter that has made the original Russian synthesizer so unique and popular. It also adds a unique overdrive circuit that lends it a particularly aggressive sound. The LFO can be sync’d to tempo and includes multiple clock divisions and waveshapes. The Cutoff can be manually controlled or via CV from an external source.
The Acidbox III was designed to work with a wide range of audio sources including guitars and line-level sources. An adjustable input gain ensures optimum level before the filter. Additional inputs include a bypass footswitch or expression pedal, ideal for live or studio applications.
