The Perkons HD-01 combines a versatile digital sound engine with an analog multimode filter, providing a rich palette for creating unique percussive sounds and rhythms.
The Erica Synths Perkons HD-01 is a four-voice hybrid drum machine and synthesizer combining a digital sound engine with an analogue multimode filter, overdrive, and a versatile four-track sequencer.
The Erica Synths Perkons HD-01 brings a fresh approach to electronic rhythmic synthesis with powerful features under the hood such as individual time division and multiplication, groove selection, Modulation controls and more for each row. Each row can have its play mode style, ranging from forward to backward, random, and PP.
Each of the four voices includes a choice of three sound engine modes, a multimode filter that selects between LP, HP, and BP filters, and eight controls covering all aspects of the percussive sound design. All voice parameter settings can be saved as kits that can be recalled.
The Modulation comprises an LFO that can be sent to several parameters with varying amounts to add movement, while parameter automation provides dynamics to any performance.
Perkons also includes a Bucket-brigade delay with each voice having its dedicated send for wild performances. Furthermore, Each voice includes its own output and FX send/return to send to effects units. A Velocity trigger input per voice also allows the Perkons to be triggered externally on top of the step sequencer. MIDI In/Out are also provided to integrate with other MIDI instruments. The master section includes an optical compressor and master overdrive.
The Perkons HD-01 is a powerful drum machine and sound design instrument that is particularly enjoyable during live performance with an instinctive layout and great sounding voices and FX.
