The Frequency Central System X MU Dual VCA is a dual LM13700 based voltage controlled amplifier circuit, inspired by the classic Roland System 100m modular VCA circuitry.
The System X Dual VCA is a versatile module that provides amplification of two signals on either side, meaning up to four audio or modulation sources can be controlled using this module, there’s also linear and exponential response curves, a high and low voltage output and dual control inputs.
The connectivity and smooth character of this VCA is what really makes it unique, dual inputs mean that you can have you static source, like an envelope into control input 1 and an audio rate source, like a VCO going into input, with input two having attenuation, so that AM is always at hand.
This VCA can also form the backbone of a generative sequencing or modulation toolset, dual inputs allow for impressive poly-rhythmic and cross fading capabilities, plus the high and low outputs can be used simultaneously to form powerful modulation chains.
The main features of the Frequency Central System X MU Dual VCA include:
- Roland inspired LM13700 based dual VCA circuit
- Smooth tonal character and precision amplification
- Linear and exponential slopes
- Dual control inputs
- Dual audio inputs
- 2 moog units wide
