The GRP Synthesizer A1 is a compact tabletop semi-modular analogue synthesiser based on GRP’s flagship A2 synthesiser.
The GRP Synthesizer A1 includes a single oscillator with three waveshapes (triangle, Square and Saw) and pulse-width modulation controls and FM. Voice generations also include a Sub of the VCO1 and noise.
It also features GRP’s signature 18dB per octave VCF that includes a distortion control for added grit.
Two LFOs can be assigned to the VCO or VCF and include wave-shaping capabilities and a random mode. The VCA has three modes, Gate and Release, Hold and following the Envelope Generator
The MIDI interface section includes a Glide function and Bend amount. It also offers the means to key the velocity to the Filter EG.
These features already make the GRP A1 a mighty and stunning-sounding synthesiser. Still, the inclusion of patch points brings the possibilities on offer to a whole new level allowing creative patching on the synthesiser itself or as part of a comprehensive modular system. Speaking of which, the A1 can be mounted in any eurorack case to become a powerful voice section of your modular system.
