With a fully analogue signal path, the Bree6 offers a single VCO per voice, complemented by a sub-oscillator that generates a square wave one octave below the primary oscillator. The oscillator section provides sawtooth and pulse waveforms, with pulse width modulation (PWM) controllable via the LFO. The oscillator’s pitch can be manually adjusted or modulated for expanded tonal flexibility.
The filter section features a 24dB-per-octave 4-pole low-pass ladder filter with resonance control. Modulation sources include an ADSR envelope generator (EG1) with velocity-sensitive modulation depth, the LFO, the modulation wheel, and aftertouch, offering extensive sound-shaping possibilities.
The built-in stereo digital effects processor enhances the Bree6’s sonic capabilities. The chorus effect creates lush, ensemble-like textures using modulated delay lines, while the stereo delay provides up to one second of delay time, adding depth and movement to any sound.
The Bree6 includes a flexible LFO with five selectable waveforms: triangle, ramp up, ramp down, square, and random sample-and-hold. Operating within a frequency range of 0.1Hz to 100Hz, the LFO can modulate the VCO, VCF, and VCA, enabling a broad spectrum of sound design options from subtle vibrato to aggressive modulation effects.
Two ADSR envelope generators provide detailed control over the filter and amplifier dynamics. These envelopes allow precise sculpting of attack, decay, sustain, and release times, making it easy to craft expressive and evolving sound textures.
With full MPE support, the Bree6 enables nuanced and expressive performances when used with compatible MPE controllers such as Osmose, Linnstrument, and Geoshred. Each note can be independently modulated, allowing intricate real-time control over sound dynamics and articulation.
