The Lauten Audio Eden is a large-diaphragm condenser tube microphone with unique multi-voicing circuitry and Harmonic Sound Shaping offering three distinct voicings.
The Lauten Audio Eden boasts an extra-large precision-crafted 38mm capsule and offers 3 polar patterns, omni, cardioid and figure-of-eight. Combined with its Harmonic Sound shaping and multi-voicing technology, this microphone delivers a wide range of tones ranging from warm and smoky to modern and open.
The Eden microphone features a unique circuitry that creates three separate signal paths accessible via a switch. In the neutral position, the Eden offers a smooth and earthy tone with a natural balance and control of sibilant.
A Gentle mode offers a dark and sultry sound full of vintage character. This mode can be used for vintage type sounds or to compensate for overly bright or abrasive sounds.
The Forward mode adds noticeable presence and boldness without sounding harsh and is suitable for modern productions.
Harmonic Sound Shaping
The Eden includes a three-position filter that interacts with the multi-voicing circuit. ranging from subtle to dramatic, the harmonic sound shaping is a powerful tool to impact the overall feel and harmonic content of each voicing.
The Off mode, lets the entire signal through without affecting the signal, ensuring the full harmonic saturation and frequency balance of the voicing.
The Hard mode focuses the timbre towards the midrange to add accentuation and articulation. Used with the Forward mode, it will add natural presence and authority that suits modern productions like pop or R&B vocals.
The Soft mode on the hand will reduce overbearing low frequency and mud, adding clarity and openness. Used with the Soft mode, it creates an authentic vintage tone.
Unique Capsule and 3 Polar Patterns
The 38mm capsule is one of the largest in the world and is made in silicon Valley and tuned by hand to capture the most authentic and realistic sound.
The one-of-a-kind transducer offers a choice of three polar patterns: omni, cardioid, and figure-of-eight depending the engineer's requirements.
