A selection of 32 static wavetable modifiers further refines the sonic potential, unlocking numerous additional variations, while Vintage and Oscillator Free Run settings recreate the organic drift and imperfection associated with classic analogue synths.

The ARGON8X features eight morphable filter types, including multiple 2-pole and 4-pole configurations, giving users versatile options for both subtle and dramatic tonal shaping. Two audio-rate LFOs—one operating polyphonically—allow modulation at high speeds, while three dedicated ADSR envelopes control the filter, amplifier, and modulation paths independently. A sophisticated 12-slot modulation matrix provides extensive routing options, with four pre-configured assignments allowing fast setup while leaving space for custom routing.

Four animation lanes offer a unique method of creating complex, evolving modulation patterns beyond the traditional capabilities of LFOs or envelopes. The polyphonic 64-note step sequencer provides easy programming of melodic phrases, while multiple sequencer trigger modes and a fully programmable 32-step arpeggiator, complete with chord hold, inversion, transposition, and sustain latch functions, ensure unparalleled creative flexibility.

Designed for serious players, ARGON8X incorporates a FATAR TP/9S 61-note keybed with smooth action and aftertouch capability, housed within a rugged steel and aluminium enclosure ideal for both studio and live use. Real-time control is at the heart of the ARGON8X experience, with 29 endless encoders, 24 tactile buttons, and an intuitive X/Y joystick for dynamic modulation and pitch manipulation.

The integrated stereo effects engine offers a three-slot configuration, allowing combinations of up to 27 high-quality algorithms, including Distortion, Drive, multiple Chorus and Phaser types, Flanger (positive and negative phase), Tremolo, LoFi processing, Rotary Speaker simulation, various stereo delays including Ping-Pong and Crossover delays, and lush, immersive Reverb variants. These effects add depth, character, and polish to every patch.

Comprehensive Connectivity

Connectivity options ensure ARGON8X integrates seamlessly into any environment. Full-size MIDI inputs and outputs, 3.5mm sync ins and outs, dedicated stereo line outputs, headphone monitoring, sustain and expression pedal inputs, and USB MIDI control make it adaptable to both live and studio rigs. Polychaining two ARGON8 series units expands the setup to 16 voices and 64 oscillators for massive sonic capability.

ARGON8X provides memory space for up to 500 patches, of which 300 are preloaded with expertly crafted sounds. Additionally, users can store 100 unique effects setups and sequences.
