Moon Modular M 528 Sample & Hold, Glide and Noise

The Moon Modular M 528 is an MU / 5U format synthesizer module that provides some handy utilities including, glide / slew, sample and hold and a noise source, all in a single unit space.

M 528 features a voltage controlled clock oscillator with both square and triangle outputs, which drive the gate input of the sample & hold section, the square output is normalized to the gate input, the triangle can be patched separately into the gate input if desired. For the sample voltage input, you can select between the modules random voltage, the noise source or an external voltage all selectable on a single switch.

The middle section is a slew limiter which lets you add glide or portamento to you control voltages, great for those acidic slides or adding a ramp up time to your modulation and more, quite a nice addition that it can be switched in and out of circuit is a particularly nice feature for a performance focused system.

The bottom section provides white noise and a random voltage output, which are internally normalized to the aforementioned sample input. The random voltages are clocked by the internal clock oscillator.

This is a really handy utility module, great for a wide array of patches and system setups.
