The Neumann KM 183 A NX is a modular small diaphragm condenser microphone with a KK 183 omnidirectional capsule powered by the KM A amplifier.

The Neumann KM 183 A NX boasts a newly developed passive capsule that can be used on an analogue (KM A) or digital KM D) output stage. Furthermore, the KM 183 A NX uses the latest developments in electronic components to provide lower self-noise, increased dynamic range and high electromagnetic interference rejection.

The KM 183 A NX capsule voicing has been taken directly from the original KM 100 system, providing a linear frequency response all the way up to 3kHz before seeing a noticeable boost all the way up to 10kHz.
