The Neumann V 402 is a dual-channel mic preamp with DI inputs and headphone amps designed to offer the highest degree of linearity and purity.
The Neumann V 402 is designed to be completely transparent and offers unrivalled detail and finesse even at high gain settings. It will capture the source without any colouration or loss of detail free from noise and distortion.
The result of years of research, meticulous engineering and listening tests, the V 402 captures the source in all its detail and lets its true colours shine.
In terms of features, the V 402 includes two channels each with a set of dedicated controls including 48V phantom power, polarity reversal, 20dB and high-pass filter. the 20dB Pad allows the preamp to be used on loud sources, up to 28dBu without distortion. A LED display is provided showing the input level.
Each channel also sports a DI input designed to offer the same sonic purity as the mic preamps using a refined circuitry design and very high impedance to delivery a vibrant sound with no audible noise.
Unusually, the V 402 also includes a high-quality, studio-grade headphone amplifier allowing you to monitor the recording at the source. Independent volume controls are also provided to create the desired monitor mix without affecting the recorded signal.
