The PSI Audio A215-M is a two-way compact floor standing mastering monitor with extended bandwidth and incredible SPL removing the need for a subwoofer.
The PSI Audio A215-M is a beautiful two-way speaker with two 5.8"woofers powered by 120W and a 3.9" tweeter. it is powered by a dual Class G amplifier built-in house that sports some clever innovations such as an Adaptive Output Impedance (AOI) output stage. It works by detecting the movement of membrane and coil as well as a filtered counter-reaction which are then tuned to provide an optimal dampening rate for each frequency.
Another innovation is the use of a Compensated phase Response (CPR) system, a series of all-pass filters each focused on a specific range combined to create minimal constant group delay throughout the entire analogue circuitry. This creates a truly accurate stereo imaging with a wide hotspot either on the horizontal but also vertical plane.
Like all other speakers by PSI Audio, the A215-M boasts an Acoustic Load Guide which is used to optimise directivity, sound-pressure level and extend the frequency bandwidth. The frequency response of this speaker is incredibly linear between 36HZ all the way to 23kHz.
The speaker is 100% analogue and only includes a volume control and a bass frequency control knob to optimise the low-frequency response in the room.
