The Radial Workhorse is an 8-slot 500-Series power supply with an integrated 8x2 summing mixer. Adding your own preamps, EQs and compressors you can create a flexible Workhorse for multiple studio setups.
The 8x2 Workhorse Summing Mixer is 100% compatible with API 500 series modules. The Workhorse has a unique 'feed' function that lets you configure modules to feed one another in series, so you can create custom channel strips. The Workhorse works seamlessly with Pro Tools systems with 8-channel D-subs for the inputs and outputs plus the third D-Sub gives you access to the built-in summing mixer for those that prefer the added warmth of analogue summing.
The master section of the Workhorse features a traditional virtual ground mix buss combined with the superb sonic performance of Jensen Transformers on the main mix outs. Playback from the separate stereo monitor output and a super-loud dual-output headphone amp lets the engineer share the mix with the artist. Multiple Workhorses can be chained together to build 16, 24 or even 32 channel systems.
