Enhanced Performance
RME's MADIface XT II builds on its predecessor, the MADIface XT, by featuring updated digital and analogue circuitry. It surpasses the first generation with significantly improved performance in both analogue and digital realms.
Comprehensive Connectivity
The MADIface XT II retains the robust connectivity of the original, including two mic/line preamps (XLR/TRS combo inputs), two balanced XLR line outputs, a stereo line headphone output, multiple digital signal options (MADI coaxial and optical, MIDI/AES, word clock), and an additional PCI Express connection. This ensures it meets all connectivity needs.
Improved Analogue Performance
During AD conversion, the MADIface XT II offers a higher signal-to-noise ratio and a lower THD value. The maximum balanced line output level of the XLR line outputs has increased from +15 dBu to +24 dBu, and the stereo headphone output now delivers a higher output level of +19 dBu with an output impedance of 1 Ohm, providing significantly more power than its predecessor. All outputs also feature several switchable level options.
Advanced Digital Features
The MADIface XT II replaces the previous analogue mini-DIN socket for remote control with an ARC USB remote port, allowing comprehensive control with the optional ARC USB. It also includes Room EQ from the Fireface UFX III, with nine parametric bands for surround setups for up to 20 mono output channels.
Powerful Applications
The MADIface XT II comes with the TotalMix FX DSP mixer, comprehensive routing and monitoring options, and the DigiCheck Analyzer for precise digital data measurement and analysis. TotalMix FX can replace an external mixer, creating multiple latency-free monitor mixes with EQ, dynamics, reverb, and delay for any outputs, including main monitors and headphone mixes. TotalMix Remote allows remote control of TotalMix FX via Ethernet and WiFi.
Clocking Precision
With SteadyClock FS, the MADIface XT II features RME's latest clock and jitter rejection technology. The femto clock in SteadyClock FS reduces intrinsic jitter to an absolute minimum and filters clock jitter efficiently from as low as 1 Hz.
USB 3 Class Compliant Audio
The MADIface XT II operates in driver-based USB 3 and Class Compliant modes, natively supported by Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux distributions. It now allows simultaneous transmission of all 394 channels without a driver in Class Compliant mode, with various formats and settings to optimise channel sequence usage.
