The Royer SF-2 Matched Pair uses active electronics to make it as sensitive as condenser microphones and can be powered with a wide range of mic preamps.
The SF-2 has a flat and uniform frequency response between 30Hz and 15kHz with a bi-polar (figure of eight) polar response provided by the 1.8-micron ribbon element. It also provides stunning transient response and negligible off-axis colouration.
