The Schoeps MK-2 is an omni small-diaphragm capsule for the Colette series of modular pencil microphones.
The Schoeps MK-2 has a flat frequency response where sound incidence occurs on the frontal axis of the microphone and delivers natural sound recordings within the reverberation radius. Even though the capsule is omnidirectional, some degree of directivity occurs at high frequencies due to the physics of sound waves and therefore it remains important to aim the microphone towards the desired source.
