The Schoeps MK 5 is a microphone capsule for the CMC Colette series of preamps with switchable omnidirectional and cardioid polar patterns.

the Schoeps Mk 5 is suitable for a wide range of applications thanks to its flat frequency response and colour free audio capture whether it is picked up at the front or on the sides. In omni mode, the Mk5 delivers a natural sound with extended low-frequency response. 

The MK5 continues Schoeps tradition for excellence that it has borne to all its products since 1948, delivering the best in German engineering and innovation to achieve the most transparent, life-like sound. As a result, Schoeps is a favourite among classic recording engineers and broadcast.
