Instant Recall Integration
The Solid State Logic Oracle console features ActiveAnalogue™ technology for immediate recall of all settings, including processing, routing, and gain, enhancing studio efficiency and workflow continuity.
The Solid State Logic Oracle is a NEW fully analogue in-line mixing console combining SSL’s iconic analogue sound with complete, instant recall, housed in a compact AWS-sized footprint and offering up to 112 mix inputs.
Oracle uses SSL’s groundbreaking ActiveAnalogue™ technology, which integrates traditional analogue circuitry with an active control system for instant recall of all processing, routing, gain and pan settings.
Engineers can switch between tracking and mixing setups faster than an artist changes songs, making it ideal for high-throughput studios. The system delivers SSL’s unmistakable SuperAnalogue™ sound while eliminating downtime, disruption and manual recalibration.
Oracle merges SSL’s legendary analogue tone with modern harmonic flexibility.
The console features next-generation PureDrive Mic Preamps offering up to 75 dB of gain, with a dedicated Drive control that enhances harmonic content and tonal character.
Engineers can access the renowned “242 Black Knob” E Series EQ, providing a four-band parametric EQ with selectable E Series constant-Q ‘aggressive’ sound or G Series variable-Q ‘smooth’ curves. Each channel incorporates high and low shelf or bell curves, fully parametric mid bands, high-pass filtering and flexible routing between Small and Large Fader paths.
All channel settings are displayed on high-resolution Channel Screens for precise control, with the ability to link odd and even channels for stereo sources. Each path includes independent Direct Outputs and switchable, movable Insert points.
The centre section serves as the console’s command hub, offering tactile control over bus routing, foldback feeds, aux sends and monitoring, with all functions displayed on high-resolution screens.
Oracle offers 16 Track Busses, 10 Aux Busses that can be configured as mono or stereo pairs, and four Stereo Mix Busses for sub-mix, stem, and parallel routing. Engineers can create multiple sub-mixes, stem outputs and parallel processing paths simultaneously.
The console integrates SSL’s THE BUS+, delivering the familiar glue and punch of the G Series Bus Compressor with additional modes including LOW THD, Feed-Back operation and ‘4K’ harmonic saturation. Built-in Dynamic EQ and Transient Expander modules expand tonal control, all fully recallable via ActiveAnalogue™.
Oracle provides four alternative stereo monitoring paths with bass management and remote monitor control for third-party immersive systems, including Dolby Atmos. Engineers can route three independent Foldback feeds, connect external stereo sources and integrate third-party devices such as Bluetooth receivers via the console’s surface input.
The console features eight stereo group inputs with fader control, image adjustment, switchable inserts, flexible routing to mix, aux and track busses, and Direct Outputs.
Mid/Side encoding enables independent processing of mid and side signals, with MS decoding available post-insert to return signals to stereo.
Classic VU or Plasma-style metering, both modelled on SSL’s historic 4000 series, providing immediate visual feedback for EQ, insert status, routing and track identification.
Maximum Channel Capacity and Scalability
With its dual fader paths, multiple inserts and comprehensive bus architecture, Oracle offers large-format mixing within a compact footprint.
A 24-channel processing rack provides up to 48 mix paths, supporting 16 stereo sub-mixes and a main stereo bus, all under fader control.
Adding a second 24-channel rack doubles the channel processing count, enabling up to 96 mix paths for complex sessions requiring expanded routing, stem management and parallel processing.
Large-scale workflows are achieved with up to three remote 13U processing racks, which house all analogue circuitry with an acoustic noise floor below NR25.
SSL’s advanced DAW integration allows engineers to seamlessly alternate between analogue console control and in-the-box mixing.
Surface faders switch between analogue and DAW control per bay using the FOCUS key. The O-Control Application suite provides off-line and real-time session management, console configuration and parameter editing through O-Setup, O-Session and O-View tools.
Oracle enables complete recall of console settings via Templates, accelerating session preparation. Templates store all routing and processing configurations, ensuring engineers start projects quickly with minimal setup time.
Future updates will expand Oracle’s control surface to directly manage immersive monitoring solutions, including muting analogue monitoring and passing control to systems such as the Dolby Atmos renderer.
Oracle’s modular processing racks, including channel and centre section units, can be located within the control room or machine room. Actively cooled racks operate below NR25, ensuring silent operation suited to critical studio environments.
