The Sontronics Mercury Vintage Edition is a high-quality tube large diaphragm condenser microphone with variable polar patterns, extremely low self-noise, producing a rich, smooth and detailed recording.
The Sontronics Mercury Vintage Edition is handmade in the UK, using only the highest-grade components including hand-selected Vintage Mullard 12AT7 (ECC81) vacuum tube. Most of the components employed have less 1% tolerance.
The Mercury Vintage edition boasts a variable polar pattern which not only provides the usual omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-of-eight polar patterns, it lets the user choose an infinite number of patterns in between. As each polar pattern is selected, the sound of the room opens up and moves, letting you find the ultimate setting.
The Sontronics Mercury Vintage Edition ships with a range of accessories including a bamboo box to protect the microphone, a shock mount with a unique locking lever and an XLR cable all housed in an aluminium flight-case for maximum protection.
