The Spectra 1964 STX 600 represents the latest addition to Spectra 1964's extensive Complimiter legacy, encapsulated in an accessible 500 series format. At its core lies the renowned 601 Complimiter circuit, a timeless innovation introduced in 1969. As the fastest analogue compressor limiter available, the 601 circuit offers a significant headroom enhancement, along with reduced system noise and distortion. This identical circuit is used in the original 610, the recently unveiled C610, 611, and the esteemed V610.
Remaining true to the Complimiter design philosophy, the STX 600 incorporates the same 601 compressor limiter circuit found in the C610 and V610, delivering ultra-fast limiter/compressor performance in a compact and cost-effective 500 series module.
With an overall gain of 62dB, the STX 600 is versatile enough to function as both a microphone and line preamplifier. Additionally, the unit boasts switchable 48-volt phantom power and phase control, enhancing its adaptability.
