Enhanced Stereo Control
The SPL BIG 500 allows precise manipulation of stereo imaging with its innovative Range and Stage controls, enabling users to position frequencies spatially in the mix.
The SPL BIG 500 is an innovative stereo image processing module for the 500 series format with additional bass boost control.
The SPL BIG 500 uses a new way to adjust the stereo of the incoming audio in a new and creative way. The Big module consists of three controls making it incredibly easy to get your sound bigger. The large knob called Bigness provides control over the intensity of the processing of the incoming audio.
The Stereo Image Shaping section includes two controls Range and Stage which work in combination to bring certain frequencies, forward or backwards. The Range control selects the frequency area to be processed while the Stage control allows you to bring the selected area forward or backwards.
The Big module also includes a Bass switch that adds a bass boost after the Bigness section. This is achieved through the use of a passive filter based on the AirBass circuit found on the SPL Iron Mastering Compressor
