The Studio Electronic Modstar 5089 is a eurorack format 24dB low pass transistor ladder filter.

Designed to precisely replicate the sound and behaviour of the early Moog Model D filter circuitry. 5089 brings all of the signature Moog warmth and power by utilising hand matched transistors and a tried and tested signal path.

The classic Moog signature is ever apparent in this filter module, fat bass with rich upper harmonic content that can be pushed into self oscillation if desired.

More than just a vanilla LPF, 5089 provides extensive CV and audio routing capabilities and also features switchable keytrack modes for smoothing off bass and enhancing higher frequencies.
