The Studio Electronics Modstar Shapers is a dual four stage envelope generator module.
Shapers features two independent ADSR EGs. Each EG operates with either linear or exponential responses, providing fast snappy envelopes or extremely long responses. Perfect for percussion and evolving soundscapes.
Shapers works like any other envelope generator. Shapers takes a voltage source at its input, processes it according to the ADSR settings. The resulting control voltage is sent to the corresponding output.
Envelope generators are a vital tool in any synthesizer, but they are especially powerful in a modular format since the CV signals can patched and manipulated in numerous ways.
