KEY FEATURES
The Tegeler Audio Magnetismus 2 is a stereo transient shaper and VCA compressor designed to work with transient-rich signals such as drums or acoustic guitars.
The Tegeler Audio Magnetismus 2 starts with a VCA compressor, akin to the one on Creme, with ratios ranging between 1.5:1 for gentle compression and LIM for a more aggressive sound. Instead of the traditional attack and release control, however, the Magnetismus features a Timing control with 11 positions providing a mixture of carefully selected time constants for the compressor.
The Compressor stage is immediately followed by the transient shaper, which offers three different modes of operation (Eisen, Kobalt, Nickel). The Intensity control then lets you decide on the desired amount of transient shaping.
This unique combination delivers a fat sound akin to recording to tape but helps the source sits better in the mix. The Magnetismus 2 is the ideal drum bus processor to add excitement and punch, but each section can be used separately for added flexibility.
