The Telefunken U47 is a meticulous recreation of the iconic U47 microphone with the original M7 capsule and Telefunken-made recreation of the VF-14K vacuum tube and BV8 output transformer. These ensure a like for like performance which makes the modern U47 indistinguishable from the original, providing stunning rich sound only good valve microphones can.
The U47 features two polar pattern (omni and cardioid) catering for different recording situations. The U47 is the go-to microphone for rich vocals, or airy and open string quartet, or natural sounding drum overheads.
