The Trident 888 is an 8-channel analogue mixing desk continuing the tradition of the legendary Trident 80 series with discrete Class-A mic preamp, stereo mixing bus, eight subgroups and auxiliary send and returns and complete monitoring section.
The Trident 888 has kept all the ergonomics and qualities that have made the 80 Series a legendary console in its own right but has updated it to fit modern requirements and workflow. The Trident 888 integrates external outboard very easily at the flick of a switch inserting your favourite mic pre, compressor or even 500 Series modules just before the channel EQ.
One of the strength of the original 80 Series consoles was its characterful EQ, and the same EQ circuit in employed on all 8 channels but also on the monitor, returns and group section.
Anyone who’s used a desk will be immediately familiar with the Trident 88 Series of consoles with a very clear layout and a raft of routing options, while new engineers and student will learn very easily the ins and outs of signal flow within a professional recording console.
