The UAD-2 Satellite Firewire Quad Core is a sleek and portable desktop DSP processing unit with four SHARC DSP processors and giving full access to UAD Powered Plugins.
The UAD-2 Satellite Firewire Quad Core lets you run bigger mix sessions by offloading processing powers to the four SHARC DSP chips and providing access to some of the best analogue emulations available.
With two Firewire 800 connections, it is possible to connect up to 4 units together to create a powerhouse of DSP for larger mixing sessions. For those users not having Firewire 800 connectors, a Firewire 400 is provided.
A LiveTrack mode lets you reduce latency on active UAD-2 plugins to the lowest possible amount to let you monitor audio while tracking. It also includes a LoadLock system which automatically reserver maximum DSP load for each active plugin. This feature is ideal for reserving enough power to use when writing automation.
The UAD-2 Satellite Firewire also comes with the Analog Classics bundle which includes a range of plug-ins to get you started, including legacy versions of the legendary 1176, LA-2A and Fairchild 670 compressors, Pultec EQP-1A and Pultec Pro equalisers, RealVerb Pro, CS-1 Channel Strip, and the new Universal Audio 610-B Tube Preamp.
You also have access to the ever-growing list of plug-ins available on the UAD store.
