An evening with Roger Linn @ KMR Audio London 02/06/2016
Written by Tom Lewis
Hot off the back of our London Synthesizer Expo, we’re delighted to announce an evening with legendary electronics designer Roger Linn on the 2nd of June at KMR Audio London 4pm to 8pm.
This is a unique opportunity to meet one of music’s most important innovators; the man behind the Linndrum, LM-1, Akai MPC, AdrenaLinn, Dave Smith Tempest and his latest innovation the Linnstrument.
Roger’s designs have been influential in shaping the sound of all genres of music, the LM-1 has been used in hundreds of hit records and still incredibly sought after by collectors and demands a premium price tag even to this day.
Roger’s design of the AKAI MPC60 shaped the way musicians and producers thought about production and opened up a new world of sampling capabilities and effectively helped create the hip-hop genre. So groundbreaking was the concept, the MPC is still being made to this very day.
With the Linnstrument, Roger has revolutionised the way we interact with Synthesizers, VST’s and software instruments. It provides increased control and more natural playing experiences that enable more expressive playability and far more natural sounding performances.
This is a great opportunity to meet the man himself, get hands-on with the Linnstrument and learn everything you ever wanted to know about Roger’s exploits past, present and future.
If you've ever been intrigued by the concept of alternative MIDI controllers and want to learn more and meet a legend at the same time, then there's no better opportunity than our evening with Roger Linn.
