Next Generation Engineering
The Footprint®01 Gen2 has been redesigned from the ground up with dedicated Class D amplification for each driver: 60W for the 1-inch dual ring radiator tweeter, 150W for the 5-inch aluminium midrange driver, and 500W for the dual 8-inch aluminium woofers. This tri-amplified system ensures seamless crossover transitions at 170 Hz and 3600 Hz, delivering uncompromising clarity across the 36 Hz to 40 kHz frequency range.
Drivers Reimagined
Barefoot has developed a new driver suite featuring a 1-inch tweeter housed in a machined aluminium waveguide chamber for extended high-frequency response and low distortion. The 5-inch aluminium midrange unit incorporates an enlarged voice coil and extended excursion for razor-sharp imaging and coherence. Dual 8-inch aluminium woofers integrate Barefoot’s Dual-Force™ Technology, cancelling internal vibrations while reinforcing cabinet rigidity to achieve a clean, powerful low end down to 30 Hz.
Advanced DSP and SPOC™ Technology
At the core of the Gen2 lies Barefoot’s patented SPOC™ system, which applies analogue crossover filtering before digital conversion. This design provides a 15 dB improvement in signal-to-noise ratio, preserves high-frequency detail, and ensures ultra-low latency. The new DSP engine offers tighter bass control, pristine transient response, and improved spatial accuracy, making the monitor highly suitable for immersive formats and critical mixing.
Rugged Cabinet Design
The cabinet is constructed from MDF with internal bracing, acoustic damping, and a machined aluminium driver baffle. With 12.8 litres of internal volume, the enclosure provides mechanical stability and optimised dispersion. A textured grey polyester finish complements the industrial design while increasing durability. Each monitor weighs 18.3 kg, delivering the solid performance expected in professional environments.
MEME™ Technology
Barefoot’s MEME™ (Multi Emphasis Monitor Emulation) enables users to switch voicings to replicate the response of different playback systems. Producers can compose in Hi-Fi mode, mix in Flat mode, and reference across multiple systems without leaving the monitoring sweet spot.
