The Barefoot MicroMain26 is a 4-way active speaker with 6 drivers in a sealed cabinet.
The Barefoot MicroMain26 boasts two 5"25 woofers, a 2.5" midrange cone, and a Ring radiator. The 5"25 drivers' features ensure super tight bass and lower mids. The midrange cone sits in a cutting-edge 3D-printed waveguide enclosure. Barefoot's ring radiator ensures superior detail and wide high-frequency dispersion.
The Barefoot MM26 have a wide frequency response from 30Hz to 45kHz. What's more, its produces low distortion, superior dynamic range and ultra-fast transient response. Like all the other Barefoot speakers, the MM26 uses Hypex for transparent amplification. A new DSP crossover system and high-end converters provide truly revealing sound.
MEME technology is also employed, emulating NS10, Auratones and Hi-Fi speakers. These extra voicings give the engineers useful sets of references without extra speakers. Mixing on the "flat" setting will provide the Barefoot MM26 true sound. Switching to the Old School setting will switch the speakers into NS10 mode. This will provide a restricted bandwidth with an emphasis on the midrange. The Cube "mode" will recreate the sound of the Auratone speakers. Hi-fi will recreate the sound of high-quality Hi-fi speakers sounding warmer and sweeter. MEME technology does not strive to recreate the sound of those speakers exactly. Instead, it recreates some of its idiosyncrasies to recreate the impression of working with those speakers.
